RAFFLE RULES
1. The raffle drawing will be for two (2) prizes: Prize #1 – One (1) Panasonic AVCHD 3CCD Hi-Def. SDTM/DVD Camcorder (MSRP $1000) and Prize #2 – One (1) Garmin ColoradoTM 300 GPS Receiver (MSRP $535). In the event that either or both prizes cannot be awarded to the winners because they are no longer manufactured or available for purchase from a retailer or wholesaler, a cash prize in the amount of 50% of the listed MSRP of each prize will be awarded to the respective winner.
2. One (1) Winner for each prize will be chosen by public drawing from tickets sold between September 5, 2009 and the drawing date or alternate drawing date.
3. Each ticket will cost $5 or 5 tickets can be purchased for $20. No more than one person or entity may share in a raffle ticket purchase.
4. A person or entity may purchase as many tickets as they choose. There is no maximum number of tickets to be sold.
5. The directors, officers and employees of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Flagstaff Inc. (HCGOCOF) are eligible to participate in this raffle as allowed by ARS 43-1201 and ARS 13-3302.
6. Individual purchasers of raffle tickets must be 18 years of age or older.
7. Each numbered Raffle ticket stub will be placed in the Raffle ticket container.
8. Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Flagstaff Inc., shall appoint a single individual who will be responsible for maintaining control and security of all of the Raffle ticket stubs. Such individual shall, by public certification under oath at the time of the drawing, certify that all Raffle tickets purchased have their stub in the container of stubs where the winning Raffle ticket will be drawn.
9. The public drawing will be on December 13, 2009. If a sufficient number of tickets have not been sold by December 13, 2009, an alternate drawing date will be February 7, 2010. Drawing Location: Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Flagstaff, 319 South San Francisco Street, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Drawing Times: 11:00 a.m. You may attend the drawing. Please plan to arrive at approximately 10:45 a.m.
10. You need not be present to win.
11. Winners will be notified by phone and certified mail return receipt requested by December 14, 2009, or February 8, 2010 (if alternate date), as provided on the ticket stub.
12. The Raffle Winners must claim prize within two (2) weeks of the raffle drawing date or a new winner will be selected by drawing in order of winning. If a sufficient number of Raffle tickets have not been sold by December 13, 2009, then the Raffle drawing shall be postponed until February 7, 2010.
13. A minimum number of tickets, in the amount of six hundred (600), must be sold in order for the drawing to occur. If six hundred (600) tickets are not sold by 12/13/09 an alternate drawing date will occur on 2/7/10. If less than six hundred (600) tickets are sold by the alternate drawing date a drawing will occur but with cash prizes in lieu of the prizes listed in rule #1 and will be as follows: Prize #1 will be 32.5% of the total ticket sales in cash for the winner of Prize #1 and 17.5% of the total ticket sales in cash for the winner of Prize #2.
14. The Raffle winner is responsible for any applicable taxes.
15. The Raffle winners shall take the prizes in 'as is' condition.
16. This is not a tax deductible contribution. Consult your tax advisor if you have questions.
17. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
18. If for any reason the raffle is canceled, HCGOCOF must reimburse each Raffle ticket purchaser within sixty (60) days of the Raffle cancellation date but may retain up to 10% of the ticket price for administrative costs.
19. Proceeds of the Raffle are for the benefit of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Flagstaff Inc. a non-profit corporation in Arizona.
